Item Menu

The Item menu (see Figure A) has options for manipulating the display of an item in the Tag area. The options on this menu remain inactive until you select an item. Thereafter, various options will be available, depending on your menu choices and the state of the tag structure's display. The Item menu differs from the Type menu, whose options affect all items having the same type as a selected item.

Figure A - Item Menu	Rename... - Allows you to rename the item selected in the tag structure. Choosing this option will cause the Rename dialog box to appear. In the text box, enter a new name for the item and click OK.
	Hide - Hides the item selected in the tag structure. Note that all of item's children and attributes are also hidden.
	Show - Shows an item that was previously hidden. To activate this option, select the root element. The Show menu option becomes available and indicates the tag of the hidden item. Choosing this option will reinsert the item in the tag structure.
	Show All - Displays all items in the tag structure, including any items that have been hidden.
	Collapse - Collapses the tag structure related to the item selected, including any children and attributes. The item icon on the far left will change from a minus to a plus symbol.
	Collapse All Collapses the tag structure related to the item selected (including siblings). The item icons on the far left will change from minus to plus symbols for the selected item and all items above or below it.
	Expand Expands the tag structure related to the item selected, including any children and attributes. The item icon on the far left will change from a plus to a minus symbol. Since the program initializes with a document's tag structure expanded, this menu option will not become active until you choose the Collapse or Collapse All menu option.
	Expand All- Expands the tag structure related to the item selected (including siblings). The item icons on the far left will change from plus to minus symbols for the selected item and all items above or below it. Since the program initializes with a document's tag structure expanded, this menu option will not become active until you choose the Collapse or Collapse All menu option.
